If you are thinking of a surf holiday in Portugal then Ericeira should be high on your list. Here's a list of our top restaurants in Ericeira. The best dishes are Fish. Gambas (shrimp) is the town speciality. Here are a few that we like:
 
1.  Tik Tak – 00351 261 863 246
50 metres North of the main square. One of the town's best. Always book in advance. The owner Pedro is a great host so make sure to mention us and he may get you a better table! The Gambas are gorgeous, and the steak platters too. Very reasonably priced.


 
2.  Tik Tapas – 00351 261 869 235
On Rua Do Ericiera. Follow the road in front of the Pracos dos Navagantes and you will find it. Run by Pedro's brother Francisco. Delicious food similar to Tik Tak but in tapas form. Serves until 1am
 
3.  Canastra
One of the best sea food restaurants in town – amazing cliff top views – Rua Capitao Joao Lopes. Owned by Mario.

4.  Ribas
“Sea food but no fish”, meaning crabs, lobster, clams, barnacles, periwinkles etc. Bring ear muffs as customers bang loudly on the tables with large hammers to try and break open the food – good fun. Rua Mendes Leal – between the Praca da Republica main square and Praia dos Pescadores,
 
5.  Prim - 00351 261 865 230
North of the main square – close to Tik Tak. Run by Andre. Has a great outdoor terrace. Order steak on a hot plate and cook it yourself. Good fish also.

On Foz do Lizandro beach. Fantastic lunch salads & sandwiches. Do pizza and other dishes in the evening and a famous sushi night on Thursdays.


 
7.  Adega Tipica Rua Alves Crespo
Typical Portuguese food with a Brazilian touch!
 
8.  Furnas – 00351 261 864 870
Stunning location overlooking the Atlantic. A superb selection of fish/lobster/crab – you get to choose your own on your way
in. It can be found near the town Park behind the large Hotel Vila Gale.
 
9.  Riberia D'Ilhas Pizza
Best Pizza in town. In Riberia D'Ilhas beach 3 kms north of town. Spend the evening in the outdoor bar having some beers and pizza while watching the sunset
 
10.  Pedra Dura - 00351 261 862 162
On the Main Street - Rua de Eduardo Burnay. Great terrace to sit and watch the busy street. Good for kids. Their fish speciality “Dourada” (golden bream) is delicious.
 
11.  Papa Pao - 00351 261 865 830
On the Square under the Main Street – Praca dos Navegantes. Good for a quick feed – Burgers and Pizza's.
