Teahuppo has become one of the most iconic waves in the world. It derives its name from a local legend and translates roughly as “the place of the broken skull”.  Since 1999 the Tahitian wave has gained in notoriety with its rise to the WCT tour. The island is located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean between Australia and South America. This clip is from March 2010 and features Shane Dorian, Raimana Vanbastolaer and Manoa Drollet surf some of the heaviest waves Teahuppo has ever produced!!!!
