We had a really great time in Lagos, the accommodation suited us fine. The surf lessons were great, Seb, Lee, and Marcel were all really great teachers. We generally really enjoyed what Lagos had to offer us in terms of the beaches, nightlife and restaurants

We had an amazing time in Lagos thanks. The apartments were brilliant, it was absolutely massive, which was a big shock actually. We surfed all week, the surf was pretty good all the time. It was a great place to go because if its not good on one beach there's another beach close by that it is good. We hired a car which was a must i think to reach the best surf beaches. Our favourites were Tonel in Sagres and Mareta. We didnt really like the beaches in Lagos as much as there was no surf. Also we'd go into Lagos old town and sit in cafe's and at night we'd go for drinks and food. One of our favourite restaurants was piri piri, especially the seafood local rice dishes. The three monkeys is good for dancing and cocktails at night it gets pretty lively. It was very easy to book online with you and then email you also when we need to

We enjoyed our holiday.......... surfing great.. well organised, good instructors, timing perfect, beaches all good . kids really enjoyed. 3rd time back, Villa branca great as usual, clean and well serviced, friendly staff all over complex. Good value in food, with lots of choice and great service, chinese down road and triangulo as well as pizza gardo down road and so many places in town.... value and service. easily feed famly of 5 and ours are 19, 18 and 15 yrs old so they can eat,  with wine and drinks for 50 euro or under.house wines very very good usually, especially the adage villa . great beaches........... fantastic cliff walk from porto mos to luz. overall good place to go.

We had a great time! Apartment was perfect, it was exactly what we were looking for. Really clean, nice kitchen and bathroom. The tv was great to have as one evening it was very cloudy so we chilled out there for a while. Our time was so short that we didn’t spend much time in the complex but the pool, bar etc looked good. Excellent standard and such good value. We were delighted with it and I would recommend it to anyone going there. We loved Lagos, think the nice weather helped! Spent two days on a small beach nestled among cliffs. Didn’t do any surfing but we are really considering going back in the summer to spend some more time there and try some surfing. Lagos town was gorgeous. We ate in some really nice restaurants, I think our favourite was Italia. We went on a speed boat with Seafaris to see dolphins and it was definitely one of the highlights!  Overall it was very enjoyable and I would definitely make a return visit!

I would like to say thank you to you and also Sharon and Sebastian at the surf school because our holidays in Lagos were just amazing. Beautiful spot to surf, very helpfull and friendly people always in great mood. Large nice appartments, reasonable priced restaurants with great food and wine. We would love to come back next year!!! We had an AMAZE time! The apartments were fantastic, really spacious and nice and quiet too. The staff at Vilabranca couldn't have been nicer and were extremely helpful while not too intrusive. The kids loved the pools and the playground, and the little on site bar was perfect for a sun downer or two for the adults! Lagos itself is a beautiful town, with plenty of very good, cheap restaurants, with excellent service. We spent an entire day at Praia Porto de Mos (???) which is a fabulous beach just ten minutes away from the apartments and the shuttle bus service was great. The beach itself was fantastic, with all the amenities you could want including water activities for the kids and a super restaurant right on the beach! Sun loungers were available and were relatively cheap too. All in all, we had a brilliant time, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Vilabranca and Lagos to other families looking for a quiet, relaxing break! Thank you for all your help Nicky and SurfHolidays, you are a cut above the rest, and we will definitely be back for our next holiday!

Really loved the villabranca apartments, great free bus service from there to town and beach 3 times a day. Nice pool and spacious rooms. Staff lovely too. Lagos itself is lovely. Enjoyed the surfing. Would like a half day option, as 2nd session after lunch much shorter,but realise impractical due to distance to surf beach. Would definitely be interested in another surf holiday again sometime

We were very pleased with the apartment.  We said if we were ever to go back we would go there.  For us the main point was they were very clean and spacious.  We had our four young adult children in the one room and it worked fine.  The fact that we had a nice sitting area and the balcony space made such a difference.  Also that one room was en suite and separate bathroom saved a lot of rows! We were very happy as sometimes you go away and you dont get an accurate presentation of conditions.  The local shop was perfect and all the wee coffee areas. We spent lot of time in Lagos and that suited us all perfectly. We ate out in different restaurants and we found them to our liking also.   The kids loved the surfing and there were no complaints whatsoever and they were happy with the lessons. We got the bus from the airport and the driver could not find the apartments the first night.  Know thats not your area, he just did not do his homework on its location, but we got there eventually. So I glad to say thanks to you.  It made a hugh difference to me to be able to email you as I felt we had a local contact person and you were always great at responding,  That was a hugh hugh benefit to me. Everything worked out great, I would definately recommend it! Accommodation was ideal - very clean and it was great to have the regular servicing of towels etc. We had previously stayed nearby (8 years ago) so we were familiar with the area and we weren't disappointed. We hired a car so it was easy to get around - we took day trips to Zoomarine, Algarve Shopping, local beaches and Cabo Sao Vincent/Sagres. My husband likes to jog which was very easy in the area around Vilabranca. We also did a bbq boat trip around the grottos etc which was nice although the sea was a bit rough the same day. The surfing was a big success. As mentioned,  My daughter  (aged 14) has done several surf courses in Banna beach so she was very comfortable and the only one who didn't find the water a bit cold! My husband had not surfed before and found it quite difficult to stand on the board, but really enjoyed the experience and is still talking about it!  My son (aged 10) and myself went on the Vilabranca bus to the beach on the days they were surfing. Of course, there are so many nice and reasonably priced places to eat - we enjoyed the Triangulo, Penguin cafe and Chinese restaurant locally, but mostly we went into Lagos to eat and then enjoyed wandering around the shops etc afterwards. Flying to and from Faro from Kerry Airport was an added bonus which made the whole experience totally hassle free. All in all a great holiday with something for everyone. What a great vacation!  We loved Lagos.  The apartment was simple but very nice, clean, friendly staff, and great location (close enough to town center for a nice walk, but not to be kept up by noise at night). The Surf School was amazing!  The beach was gorgeous, and the waves, though a bit rough, were good for surfing.  My kids were on cloud nine, and actually did better than I did on the surfboards!  We ate breakfast and lunch in the room (or packed a picnic) every day, and then dinner out in the evenings.  Honestly I can't remember names of restaurants, but everything was good, especially the seafood (and the ice cream)!  Thanks for helping us get there.  We plan to go back before we move back to the States in two years. Vilabranca was perfect, only spent a couple of days at the pool . The accommodation was spacious and clean! We met up with two other Irish girls who booked with you and had a great laugh. Everything about the surfing was amazing  and I look forward to returning  next year. - Maria, Dublin

The surf holiday was great, apartments were very nice, we had been to Lagos before and it was good to go back, we went up to the surfing beach most days in a car, kids really enjoyed the surfing, Sebastian and his crew were great, all the airport transfers and surfing collections happened as arranged and on time , we were very pleased overall with the experience and would think about going again, maybe we will try San Sebastian next year if the kids fancy surfing again. The accomodation was great, the staff very friendly and helpful. They helped us get taxi's, book dinner, hair dressers and pretty much anything we needed. We arrived early and left late which could have been disasterous but they let us use the pool and had a shower room and changing facility for us to get ready in before/after our flight. They really were so nice. The town itself was lovely. We generally went out at night to various bars. Our favourite place to eat was Dos Caois (?) in the Marina, considered expensive by the locals but reasonable by comparison to Dublin prices. The days were spent surfing and recovering from surfing or recovering from our nights out. However, I must reserve my greatest praise for the instructors Blake and Marcel who also drove the buses and prepared the lunches. They were always good humoured and very patient. They were just so efficient and I always felt really safe when out on the water. We met some great people at the surf school and often met up in the evenings. The night life was great and we had an absolute blast. We plan on returning to Lagos for another surf holiday - it was such an enjoyable experience. Jenny - Dublin

It was great. Memory of the town will be scarred by watching Man Utd defeated by Barcelona on a big-screen in the square. Accomodation was very good and the amenities at Vilabranca could not be faulted, staff friendly and helpful. I suppose at the end of the day you need to know that if I was to go again I would use "Surfholidays.com". It delivered 100% what my 15-year old was hoping for, which means Dad gets a gold star! We had a great time in Lagos. The accomodation was great. The rooms were really spacious. The surfing was fab and the instructors were great. Just a shame we didnt have longer to learn! Will definitely like to go back though for a longer stay. Cheers, Ramya, London

Surf Holiday was great. Mad some progress with the surfing - so all good. Accommodation - Vilabranca - lovely apts, clean, spacious, safe place. The pools were nice. About a 10/15 min walk - which we didnt mind at all into the town. Surf lessons were great value. and teachers good. Lagos was lovely. The beach the lessons were on was lovely with little cafe. water was cold for first 5 mins then lovely.. and on most days ideal for us beginners. LOADS of restaurants & good food & wine for great prices. Plenty of bars to choose from too. Didnt go to the nightclub. All in all, a great week - and i'd go back in October for sure! thanks Deborah, Ireland

We had a fantastic holiday. the accomodation was even better than we expected. Lagos was lovely and we were very lucky with the weather. We went to a few really nice restaurants and pubs, the best were : As Asinhas (trad Portugese, great steak), Meu Limao (Tapas) and pubs (3 monkeys and The Jam were the best). Sebastien and the other surf instructors were really great, really looked after us. And we actually managed to surf properly for the first time! Thanks a million. Sarah, Ireland

We had a ball, the surf crowd were great Sebastian and Marcel and the group. No major injuries was a bonus apart from pride after a major nite on the town! Lagos is beautiful, I wil defo be recommending it to anyone looking for a holiday so Il be sending more parties onto u for sure! We had a great holiday apartments were excellent, top class and very friendly and helpful in the bar and reception especially Miguel and Pedro in the bar. We all loved the surfing, all the instructors were great. All in all a great surf holiday for teenagers and an active family. We also did a sea canoeing trip from Lagos to Pied a Pont which was awesome and the land sailing on the road to Sagres was deadly. Also the coastal walks are spectacular and I would have loved to do some mountain biking but was wrecked after the surfing. This place is heaven for the outdoor active type --- cant wait to go back. Its a nice little town, not too built up, cobble streets with old buildings. Lots of little bars scattered around, it takes a few days to figure it out but you get there. Food and drink was very reasonably priced, best value I've seen in a while. The accommodation is about a 10 min walk down hill to the town or 4 euro in a taxi. Didn't do much walking home! Apartments where nice, well kitted out, kitchen, tv, etc. Pool was clean and the reception was open till 12 and very helpful.  Surfing was great, cant say enough about them. If you missed a day or wanted a day off in the middle you could do that. Its a nice beach with a small cafe. Ended going out a couple of times with the instructors (your female customers might be happy to hear!!). Standing and turning by the end of the week so we where happy with that. We ended up getting the train from Faro to Lagos €6.15, bargain! There also a short bus from airport to train station €2. Great option but a reduced service on Sundays. All in all we had a good aul surf holiday. Cheers, Jonathan

A wonderfully equipped apartment in a very smart and secure complex. Although I only stayed for 4 days it was well worth it. Blistering Sunshine, great sunburn haha and great waves. I'll be back - Steve, Cork
