The surrounding 10km area of Taghazout & Tamraght have gained legendary status as a surf mecca and without doubt Morocco's surf capital. There are not many places in the world that have waves accessible to beginner, intermediate and advanced surfers but this area has it all.
Taghazout waves includes the beginner/intermediate surf spots Panaromas & Hash's Point. Further south is the long stretch of beach that leads to the next town of Tamraght, a fantastic learner area with two advanced breaks at the south end Devils Rock & Banana Point.
On the north end of town is Moroccos most famous wave, Anchor Point, a world class long right break. And around this headland is La Source & Killers, another two of Moroccos most reliable & famous waves.
10km further north is the town of Tamri which has a great selection of beginner & intermediate waves as well as a few secret spots.

Paradis Plage is amazing. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone going to Morocco. The staff were so attentive and pleasant, the food was gorgeous and the whole complex is kept spotless. It was lovely and quiet when we were there which was great too. The collection from airport and journey to Marrakech was all great. Our driver was so lovely. We both did a surf lesson on our 2nd morning there. There was 6 of us in the class and the other 4 had a lesson the day before but he was so patient spending the time with myself and Tony on the beach initially and then in the water. He was a really lovely guy and his English was very good. I was actually sick for our 2nd lesson so Tony went down himself. It wasn’t as enjoyable and he didn’t feel he got as much out of it because there were more in the group. I think 6 was the perfect number. We went for a half day to Paradise Valley which was lovely but apart from that didn’t leave the resort! We really had the most amazing time
Great, relaxing environment with a warm feel. Staff very helpful and nothing is too much trouble especially when looking to explore the local villages. Quiet and the place to get plenty of rest, not so great if you are looking to party, stick to Agadir! Rooms all very clean and spacious, with good views, recommend either Suite options, both very good. All have fridge/kitchen which makes life easier all round. WiFi Internet isn't the best, but that's Africa rather than the hotel. Food was good, but limited in the quiet season. Hotel is French targeted rather than for the English, which gives it a very European atmosphere, I loved it. Evenings watching the sunset and sitting around the campfire with fellow surfers was just what was needed, fantastic. To sum up what more is there than Sun, Surf, massage, sunsets, waves, relaxed friendly people in a great environment. Lessons were good and sensible, be ready for a very relaxed approach to start times and the surf team explain why we wait for conditions to be right, trust them, they know their stuff. very helpful regarding the basics and its good for all levels adults and children alike. Beaches were great, complete with camel rides if you get the urge, beach footie with the locals is fun too. Area is relaxed and very chilled, local village Taghzout was very friendly and perfect for a little local shopping
We had a great holiday and the Paradis Plage is a really luxurious place. Resort - First Impressions - Fantastic, luxury resort which surpasses brochure expectations. Suite are a very high standard, staff exceptionally helpful and the whole experience is first class. Surf - OK - the surf in fronmt wasn't working so we went surf guiding - additional cost (100DM pp). Simon was very good (Instr). Local Area - Not impressed. We are so glad we didn't stay anywhere else as the holiday would not have worked. If you are in your 20s/30s then the local surf camp options would be acceptable but would not work if you wanted luxury and the need to relax. Food - Only took meals in the Plage as you would not have wanted to risk to local eateries. Evening meal was a either buffet (220DM pp) or a la carte (about the same for a main meal). All of which an excellent standard. Beaches - Plage beach was patrolled and cleaned by the staff so no problem. Other surfing beaches were clean and fine. Spa - Quite outstanding and my wife and daughter enjoyed some lovely treatments. Shame that the yoga was extra - it was really good but did bump up the extras again. Recommendation - A good place for a short high luxury break. Don't bother going further a field as everything you need is there. Cost of all food, surfing and spa extras add up on the cost of holiday. We met some excellent European families which was great and we could see ourselves returning but not in the short term as we like to explore other opportunities
We had a fantastic time, family loved it, surf lessons were great. The children were happily occupied with horse riding, table tennis, surfing..even a massage in chocolate. Thanks for a great holiday recommend
We had a fantastic holiday thanks. Paradis Plage was a gorgeous resort - the suite was perfect, spa was lovely and staff were super friendly and helpful. The surf instructors were great and looked after everyone really well. Verity stayed at the Paradis Plage beach for the beginner lessons and I headed off for surf guiding most days so they catered really well for all levels and I got the opportunity to explore other spots in the area which was great. We both found the yoga classes great and the whole beach side setting was really beautiful. While the resort is quite family orientated we met other young groups of friends and people travelling alone so by the end of the week there was a little gang of us that would meet for dinner and beers by the bonfire in the evenings. The only slightly negative comment I would have is that in low season not all of the restaurants in the resort are open so it can be quite limiting in terms of choice, however, the quality of the food was great and the barbecued fresh fish at the surf shack was awesome for lunch after a morning of surfing. Overall great holiday in a lovely peaceful setting. I would highly recommend it - Irene, London
